about
Inspired by Cheryl Strayed's book Wild
lyrics
I know we were young and you had the right
And I know that you about broke when she died
And I know you will do what you will and that's that
And I'll try not to judge you, but you could have died
I know that you wanted to feel something different
And I can't imagine how you lit up inside
But it's not just this asshole, it's what he brought with him
Maybe you can stop, but you could have died.
I still send you letters and wait for your calls
I've long since abandoned all semblance of pride
I know when I hear you I'll want to say nice things,
But all that will come out is "you could have died."
And now there's this book I should probably read,
But your story is more than I can abide.
I'm happy for all your accomplishments, love,
And for all your success, but you could have died.
One of the finest albums of the first decade of the 21st century. Michael Sanchez is perhaps the world's most underrated songwriter. Levi Fuller & the Library

It seems to me that music has to rediscover and reinforce something that, in my youth (pre Nixon, Reagan, Thatcher, Blair) was a given; it has to become the keeper of "the truth" again...I know music can be a powerful tool for the unshakeable values of humanity...it has to keep the flame again;
BOW seems to have risen to that challenge...I am old now and this world belongs to the young...use this music to change it for the better and keep on doing it! John Cratchley
